The Rare Disease Medical Affairs Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Colombia Rare Disease Medical Manager and Rare Disease CBL/CBL Jr in the implementation of the medical/marketing programs related with products under his/her responsibility at the country level, as well as for providing scientific support to internal and external customers assuring compliance with Corporate and Local Procedures and applicable regulations providing full scientific support to our local business objectives.


In order of importance, list the primary responsibilities critical to the performance of the position. It is recommended not to list actual tasks but focus on essential responsibilities that highlight accountability and level of judgment required.

1.- Provides guidance, training and advice on medical and scientific issues to internal (field force, marketing, commercial, multichannel) and external customers (medical population, investigators, regulatory authorities, etc.)

2.- Collaborates to support marketing strategies of assigned products, designing scientific campaigns during POA and throughout the year. Provides medical and scientific knowledge during the development of Promotional Materials and/or activities of Pfizer products for the assigned therapeutic area.

3.- Provides medical and scientific support to Corporate Affairs area in relation to public dissemination of Pfizer products for the assigned therapeutic area.

4.- Reviews and validates scientific contents of the activities sponsored by Marketing and Customer Engagement Programs together with the CBL/CBL Jr.

5.- Support continuous medical education and identify areas of research that would capitalize on the strengths of the assigned products and further differentiate them from other agents.

6.- Works with outside advisory groups to develop new approaches to support RD products.

7.- Provide the needed support in the organization of medical education events, maintain professional scientific relationships with external opinion leaders, and interact with health care professionals. Maintains close communication with Medical Associations and Academic Institutions for projects's follow up regarding Medical area, including Continuous Medical Education Programs.

8.- Develops with Key Opinion Leaders material for scientific presentations of the products entrusted.

9.- Performs actively on technical and scientific training to Sales Force.

10.- Periodic field work activities /visits with physicians now in separate sessions from Sales Representatives.

11.- Strategically coordinates, develops and implements Advisory Boards and speaker trainings with continuous focus on business needs.

12.- Maintains close communication with Regional Team members of Pfizer products for the assigned therapeutic area, actively participating in teleconferences and in the annual meetings MM/PP (Medical Managers/Product Physician meeting).

13.- Complies with Training Curricula. Attends all the required training meetings according to established timelines.

14.- Actively participates in POA and Pre-POA meetings.

+ Excellent English (needed)


+ 1 - 2 years of experience in the pharma industry (required)

+ Experience in the Rare Disease dynamics and stakeholders (desirable)
