**ROLE DESCRIPTION** As Medical Manager Inflammation and Immunology, you will maintain expert subject matter knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas and have the ability to successfully execute medical strategies. You will enjoy customer facing medical affairs activities and will be responsible for the development and consolidation of a network of long-term peer-to-peer relationships with a variety of key external stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and other healthcare professionals (HCPs).You will have highly developed communication skills and be responsible for generating, supporting and enhancing scientific communication between Pfizer and HCPs. While doing so you will uphold Pfizer's commitment to high standards of conduct in all its dealings with the medical profession.

Comfortable working autonomously, you will also work within cross-functional product/portfolio teams. The role participates in cross-functional medical affairs activities that support the I&I portfolio, including medical-marketing support for new and existing products, provision of technical/medical/scientific input for regulatory and market access initiatives, and leading internal training of commercial partners. Within this role, you will also contribute to the development of the country medical and marketing brand strategy, and medical operation plans for in-line and pipeline products in the Inflammation and Immunology portfolio.


+ Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments in Inflammation & Immunology by continuously reviewing literature in the field, monitoring competitor activities, networking with experts and attending conferences.

+ Enhance scientific communication between clinicians, researchers and the Medical Department within Pfizer Chile, Regional and Global Medical Affairs and Clinical Research to position Pfizer Chile as a scientific partner of choice. Respond to medical inquiries in a manner that meets the scientific/clinical needs of customers.

+ Facilitate research site selection, study placement and provide support to both Pfizer sponsored and investigator-initiated research activities.

+ Actively engage in customer-facing medical activities and interactions - it is expected that approximately 50% of time allocation for this role will relate to customer-facing activities.

+ Deliver and execute the Inflammation and Immunology medical strategy.

+ Provide scientific and medical leadership in support of the marketing team in order to develop and implement local and national marketing initiatives.

+ Provide medical leadership and input in the preparation of regulatory and access dossiers.

+ Review and approve promotional materials and work closely with marketing to ensure compliance with local rules and Pfizer Chile Code of Conduct

+ Partner with expert thought leaders and societies to support local Medical business goals, including manuscript generation, research partnerships, fellowships, advisory boards, expert guidance, and competitive insight.

+ Develop strategies and manage Investigator-Initiated Research program, Collaborative studies, and any Independent Grants program. Provide scientific oversight and approval for funding in alignment with local and regional/global Medical Affairs Operating Plan strategies.

+ Develop and advocate for Phase IV lifecycle clinical trial strategies and concepts to support regional medical business needs.



+ Manage a significant volume of projects while exhibiting the ability to prioritize, provide oversight, demonstrate excellent judgmental skills and work in a continuous improvement environment.

+ Work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team to foster strong Pfizer/customer professional relationships and which support Pfizer business objectives.

+ Effectively manage through and lead change in an ever-changing and evolving external healthcare environment. Flexible to new opportunities and adaptable to organizational change.

+ Ability to problem-solving and network throughout the organization to identify solutions.

+ Maintain self-awareness and continually choose behaviors and responses based on how it impacts one's own and others' performance and engagement.

**Certifications & Education**

+ MD degree is required. Additional advanced degrees in the therapeutic area or others are advantageous. S pecialization in rheumatology, clinical immunology, dermatology will be a plus.

+ 5 or more years of combined clinical practice and medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry

+ Fluency in English


+ Your capacity for strategic thinking, along with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, complemented by strong presentation abilities and a flexible approach are essential for success in this role.

+ Experience in formal presentations to regulatory and reimbursement authorities.
