**Position Purpose**

The Pain Portfolio Medical Manager is accountable for organizing, and implementing all medical activities related to data generation, listening to Health Care Providers for medical insights or responding to questions about Pfizer products to the preparation of strategies, development and marketing of the products under his/her responsibility, within the concept of therapeutic area teams. He/She communicates with Health Care Providers and other customers to inform the safe and appropriate use of Pfizer products for their licensed indications. She/He responds to unsolicited medical, clinical, or scientific information inquiries from Health Care Providers and other customers which are related to information on licensed or unlicensed indications or uses of Pfizer products. The Medical Manager ensures that all activities, including these promotional activities are appropriate under the ethical and scientific point of view.

**Main Responsibilities**

+ Keep him/herself technically updated with regards to the products and therapeutic areas under his/her supervision and the market to which they belong to, in order to provide technical and scientific information to the correlated areas (Marketing, Legal, Market Intelligence, Public Relations, Regulatory, Sales Force Training and Business Development Departments)

+ Work together with Marketing, as part of a cross-functional team, to develop a brand strategy ("Brand Plan"). Independently develop own Medical tactics and objectives in alignment with brand strategy.

+ Verify the technical and scientific correction of all forms of communication and media (including digital) with the Medical and Lay Societies about the products and the related pathologies, ensuring that they are kept within the local, international and Pfizer regulatory policies and regulations.

+ Interact with HCPs and other customers to help Pfizer meet its medical and research goals. Manage the relationship between the Company and the Medical Class (Scientific Societies, opinion leaders), ensuring the support to Key opinion leaders, members of Advisory Boards, speakers, etc.

+ Give technical and scientific support needed for the performance of the Medical Information Area on the activity of supporting the internal and external areas (health professionals and lay public).

+ Perform actively on the technical and scientific training of the Sales Force, assuring that he/she becomes an appropriate interlocutor for the Medical Class, acting on the preparation of the training material.

+ Coordinate the technical aspects related with the scientific events (non-promotional or promotional) based on MI02 policy guidance, electing the speakers and assuring the ethics and scientific correctness of the provided information.

+ Act with synergy with the regulatory area in the development of the official documentation of the product (dossiers for marketing approval, insertion in governmental lists, packaging inserts, etc.) and answers to the questions, legal proceedings originated by the authorities.

+ Act in conjunction with the Area of National and International Clinical Research, assuring that the projects comply with the needs related at the moment of the product, the epidemiologic and the country market reality.

+ Participate in the discussions around feasibility for clinical research protocols to be implemented in the country according to the Clinical Research area process.

+ Take responsibility for the whole process for IIRs acting together with the IIR manager designated at the time ensuring the compliance with the local and international GCP/SOPs.

+ In case of acting as Clinician in a Pfizer-sponsored Clinical Study: Consistent with SRP, performs and documents regular review of individual subject safety data and performs review of cumulative safety data with the safety risk lead (as delegated by the clinical lead).

+ Provide scientific support to improve patients' access.

+ Support patients initiatives aligned with global and local policies.

**Experience Required**

+ 3 to 5 years in pharma industry required.

+ Experience in primary attention or public health programs (HMO)

+ Experience leading established portfolio.

**Qualifications Required**

+ Medical Degree (must be a Medical Doctor)

+ Residency in any medical field is desirable

+ Epidemiology or public health desirable.
