The candidate selected will be responsible for the following: The Medical Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practioner provides diagnostic, medical assessments, consultations, treatment functions,interventions, therapeutic and preventive health-care services topatients under the supervision of the psychiatrist and State, Federal, and Accrediting Standards. Services will be provided in the inpatient hospital program. Psychiatric experience a plus.The Medical Physician Assistant records patient history, physical, and mental health examinations; reviews and interprets lab and other diagnostic test data; orders appropriate treatments, medications and diagnostic studies; and provides patient education. Counsels patients on medical problems, use of drugs, expected effects of treatment, child care, diet, and other therapeutic health maintenance matters. Makes entries in patient’s permanent medical records. In emergency situations, administers lifesaving procedures and medications pending availability of physician.Performs other duties as assigned.The Meadowsoffers a complete benefits package for full-time staff including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and PTO.
