**ROLE SUMMARY:**



The MSH is a core member for the asset leadership team, working in close partnership with the Asset Team Lead (ATL), Global Clinical Lead (GCL) and Global Commercial Lead. The MSH is responsible for Leadership of the Medical Sub-Team, overall strategic medical insight and planning around the disease area/ asset/asset group, aswell as to be accountable for the overarching regional execution. As such this person is the senior most medical leader within the organization around a particular asset / asset group







The MSH is expected to maintain a current fund of knowledge in oncology, including review of the science, deep knowledge of the competition, and key opportunities, and to provide insight to the asset team into medical practice and unmet medical needs. To be successful the MSH need to lead and work collaboratively with regional leads as part of the Medical Subteam to draw in insights from around the world, and turn these into actionable strategies to fill data gaps.







The incumbent will be responsible for chairing the risk-benefit committee, approve named patient requests, author HHA (Health Hazard Assessments), and will be primary medical owner of safety issues.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:**







+ Work collaboratively with Global Clinical Lead, and Worldwide Commercial Development Lead as part of Extended Medicines Team



+ Lead Medical Sub-Team as a critical input to Extended Medicines Team



+ Develop an aligned Global Medical Affairs strategy. Key deliverables include:a. Disease area situational analysisb. Ongoing competitive and product analysis.c. Global data gap assessment including strategy to expeditiously fill gapsd. Chair Global Review Committee (GRC) for review of IIR proposalse. Publication Plan in collaboration with global publications lead







+ Participate in safety reviews of assigned assetsa. Co-chair, with the Safety Risk lead, at least twice yearly meetings of the Product Benefit Risk committee (PBRC)b. Assess new information potentially affecting interpretation of benefit and risk at ad hoc meeting







**QUALIFICATIONS:**







+ 7+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry. MD with board certification or extensive hem-oncology experience preferred



+ Strong leadership, oral and written communication skills



+ Understanding of principles of pharmacovigilance and risk/benefit analysis



+ Ability to lead matrixed, cross-functional work teams



+ Global mindset and experience in multiple markets, proven ability to partner cross culturally/regionally



+ In-depth understanding and experience with study methodology, protocol design, safety evaluation, and data analysis







**Education** :







+ MD, Specialty training in oncology; Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Hematology /Oncology







**Desired**







+ 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry
