Southwest Medical, part of OptumCare, is a multi-specialty group of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants consisting of over 300 providers, 21 medical health centers including six urgent care clinics, four convenient care centers, two lifestyle centers catering to older adults, an outpatient surgery center, home health, hospice and palliative care services, plus E-visits and online options via Now Clinic telemedicine technology. Total Home Care of Nevada (THC) part of OptumCare provides durable medical equipment and infusion services to patients in their homes. Total Home Care also provides these services to patients residing in Assisted Living facilities and Residential Care settings under arrangement with the individual facility. Total Home Care’s team of healthcare professionals and pharmacists focus on helping each patient reach a higher level of comfort, function and wellness. Whether short-term or long-term care is required, our services and products help provide opportunities for greater independence and quality of life.  This position requires moderate proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications. 
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity.  Great communication/critical thinking skills, with the ability to work autonomously
Able to time manage and organize tasks efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Entering prescriptions and verifying appropriate information
  • Gathering patient medication lists, and reconciling for Pharmacist review
  • Contacting patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve discrepancy issues
  • Documenting interventions and tracking outcomes with Pharmacy team
  • Resolving customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
  • Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record
  • Capable to interview patients, including face-to-face interaction
  • Willing to cross train in both acute and LTC environments
