The mission of the Utilities Team is to provide the site a constant flow of reliable, cost efficient, compliant utilities.

This Medium Voltage Electrical Coordinator role is to provide leadership, training, and technical expertise, in addition to performing craftsmen duties. It additionally provides leadership within the site maintenance and engineering teams as a technical subject matter expert for the specific craft group. Coordinators are expert in the facilitation of the maintenance work management processes in a safe manner. They leverage individual talents to promote colleague development of Apprentice and Journeyman crafts and serves as key resource within the area of expertise. They will also lead at various levels.

The Medium Voltage Electrical Coordinator must be a skilled craftsmen in their trade, and possess a masters license with the State of Michigan. We prefer to have (3) years actual, practical working experience as a journeyman electrician in the industrial/commercial electrical equipment service industry.


This Coordinator role will require a Master Electrician, license working within the maintenance environment. They will perform preventive maintenance, modifications, installations, and maintain company power distribution systems.

The Coordinator writes switching procedures to direct power flow from the utility to the customers. This involves coordination with the local utility, new construction projects, production, and site Electrical Engineer.

The Coordinator also provides customer training in the implementation of those systems in compliance with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc.). The Coordinator can serve as a maintenance advisor in areas of engineering (process design, material selection, documentation, calibration, testing and problem solving methodology, project scope and follow up).

The Coordinator will be expected to develop solutions to routine problems following established Pfizer policies and procedures. Communication in developing and implementing solutions is critical.

Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence: Works with minimal Supervision.

Impact and Organizational Contribution: The Coordinator contributes to the completion of routine tasks. Teamwork/Influence: Contacts are primarily within immediate work group or within normal process-related work flow.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include: The Coordinator may work variable shifts and 24 hour on call as required. Participates in multi-craft work activities as required.

Time Span of Work: Daily tasks and deliverables. Results can usually be measured on daily or weekly basis.


+ High school diploma or GED

+ Journeyman with Masters License

+ At least 10 years of Industrial experience preferred

+ Ability to negotiate with and manage across departments to get things done

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time and work within a matrix organization

+ Good interpersonal skills


+ Work involves some office-based but primarily out in the field with hands on and observation of installations.

+ Little travel is expected

+ Available to provide on-call support after work hours on a rotational basis with other team members.
