This transformation opens up exciting opportunities for **software development engineers** to envision how to design, develop, build, test and manage at scale the next generation networks and systems. We are looking for **exceptional college graduate and entry level people** to join the AT&T Vyatta network operating system development team to help us build the next generation of routing and switching platforms. Required Qualifications:



+ Masters or Bachelors of Science degree in a computing-related discipline from an accredited university

+ You are someone who is inquisitive and excels at problem solving

+ You are fluent in C/C++. Perl or Python experience is a plus.

+ You can demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a distributed team, own the delivery on your deadlines and commitments and are unafraid of new challenges.



Desired Qualifications:



+ Strong networking domain knowledge

+ Experience with DPDK, Quagga or IP Infusion, and Netconf/YANG

+ Experience developing with Broadcom, Marvell, or Cavium merchant silicon SDKs

+ Experience with Linux KVM environments and/or container networking

+ Use of open source code and experience with open source development models and tools

+ Extensive understanding of Linux, preferably Debian

+ Prior development experience for switch, router, firewall or other network appliances

+ Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket), using OBS as a CI environment, and static analysis tools

+ Spirent or Ixia test products and/or security validation products including fuzz testing tools
