Position Summary:

Our team of professionals includes board-certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrists, master’s-level clinical therapists, nurses and mental health associates who are here to help people reconnect with their families, friends and employers so that they may lead productive lives. Tucked within the wooded hills of Central Arkansas, The BridgeWay is just moments away from the major highways that unite Arkansans throughout the state. Founded in 1983 and accredited by The Joint Commission, our quiet campus has retained much of the cozy charm and character that existed then. The BridgeWay currently has a Mental Health Associate (MHA) per diem position available.

Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse and/or Nursing Supervisor, this position functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team providing patient care. Interacting and observing patients in accordance with the mission and policy of the hospital.

 
Requirements

Licenses or Certifications: Current Arkansas Driver’s License required if approved to transport patients. Current CPR and CPI certifications, or must obtain within two (2) weeks of date of hire.

Total education, vocational training and experience: Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field preferred, or high school diploma/GED with two years psychiatric experience. Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette is required.

2. Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor and other hospital employees.

3. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
