Temporary Summer Mental Health Associate

A Mental Health Associate is an intelligent, empathetic and caring individual who has a desire to help people and possesses an innate compassion. Our comprehensive orientation and training program will give you the knowledge to apply your personal strengths to a career that is rewarding and fulfilling. 

As a Mental Health Associate, you will:

Ø Assist Nursing Staff with patient treatment procedures

Ø Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment

Ø Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment

Ø Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors

Ø Assist with patient groups and activities

With proper training, you will work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs. You will be trained on psychiatric group processes, age-specific care, trauma informed care, therapeutic boundaries, crisis intervention techniques, and CPR.

Job Requirements


High School Graduate or GED.  Some college helpful, preferably 2 years+ classwork towards Bachelor's.  Familiarity with or basic insight into emotional needs of adolescents and/or adults, experience with therapeutic limit-setting helpful, ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision in this regard.  Experience in healthcare preferred. Training provided. Able to work weekends and have a variable schedule provided to the individual week-to-week.
