The UHS Behavioral Health division has an opportunity for a FT Mental Health Specialist at our Rolling Hills Hospital facility located in Franklin, Tennessee. At Rolling Hills Hospital, we offer behavioral health services for Adolescents, Adults, Adults with dual diagnoses, and Older Adult/Geriatrics. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will assist in the direct care and management of patients across all age ranges with medical and behavioral issues under the supervision of the LPN/RN as directed by the treatment team. The Mental Health Specialist assists with unit programming to facilitate the carryover of therapy issues, leisure activities and activities of daily living within the functional ability of patients and with consideration for the patient’s level of growth and development.

 
Requirements
Education/Training:
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer bachelor’s degree or college courses in health care, mental health, recreational therapy, education, or human growth & development.
• Proficiency speaking and writing the English language.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Licensure/Certification:
• Current CPR Certification
• Handle with Care Certification within 90 days of hire

Experience:
• Prefer one year’s experience as a nurse’s aide, mental health aide, psych aide, or the equivalent in a rehabilitation, psychiatric, or similar setting.
