Mental Health Tech

McDowell is a 28 bed Residential Treatment Center for teen age boys ages 12 18 who could be experiencing mental health, behavioral and/or substance abuse issues.The staff assiststhe residents inaccomplishing their goals by reinforcing proper choices, and promoting healthier problem solving methods. The Mental Health Tech creates a safe environment for residents, saves lives when necessary, provides hope, empowers residents, and teaches new tools for coping to residents.Tech's create a safe environment .Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, education groups and activities of daily living. Qualified applicants must be able to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations. Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical agility to manage residents. Employees need to be able to work at least two f the three shiftsavailable: 7 am - 3pm ; 3 pm - 11 pm; 11pm - 7 am. Shift differential pay is paid for 2nd. and 3rd shifts.

Job Requirements

High School  diploma or equivalent required. 

Must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to different shifts .
