Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health, founded in 1986, is an 82 bed facility within the city of Norfolk, Virginia. Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health offers comprehensive mental health programs to the state of Virginia. We provide psychiatrically and medically managed acute and residential treatment for children and adolescents with significant impairments in their social and emotional development. We provide quality care to children and adolescents in need using quality, evidence based practice treatments. We are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), and are licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health currently has Mental Health Tech positions available. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following: Serves as a role model for patients to observe and learn socially effective values, attitudes and behaviors. Ensures environment remains safe and normative culture remains positive throughout facility. Contributes to formulation, implementation and revision of the resident individual treatment plan. The following shifts are available: Full-time 6:45pm-3:15pm - Adolescent Boys RTC 2:45pm-11:15pm - Adolescent Boys RTC PRN- Every other weekend required 2:45pm-11:15pm 11:00pm-7:30am
