Job Description

Mental Health Worker – 24 Hours/Week - Evenings

Arbour-HRI Hospital is seeking a Part-time, Evening Shift Mental Health Worker to work 24 hours per week. This position includes an every other weekend requirement. The day shift is 3:00pm to 11:30pm. The individual who is offered this position must be able to commit to a week and a half long, 9am to 5pm, orientation.

As a Mental Health Worker, you will:                 

  • Monitor patient safety
  • Assist nursing staff with patient treatment procedures
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
  • Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
  • Assist with patient groups and activities
Job Requirements

Requirements

  • High School diploma; Bachelor’s Degree in human services field preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Physical Fitness – Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be comfortable working with patient in acute psychiatric distress
