Description:

  • Maintain a positive atmosphere on the floor
  • Be the voice of the team and communicate directly with the supervisor with any reoccurring issues
  • Position is responsible for housekeeping duties of the dock and printer areas
  • Position could require climbing onto trailers and route trucks, reaching and pushing cases weighing 20-45 pounds.
  • Maintain and file pallet build summaries, pallet detail reports, transshipment tracking, and any other files assigned by supervisor
  • Finalize all loads ensuring 100% accuracy with proper seals and straps
  • Keeping the red zone clear at all times
  • QC and red tag any pallets that aren't compliant with company standards (when red tagging, constructively and respectfully coach the pickers and show them how to correct their mistake and explain why the pallet was red tagged)
  • Keep trucks turned on and things up to date
  • Communicate with yard jockey via walkie talkie to pull and dock trucks as needed
  • Keep staging area organized when staging by keeping cones in order and labeled with route tag
  • Advise management of any issues with employees who are continuously making the same mistakes after you have constructively coached and shown them the correct way to fix the issue
  • Ensuring that all Luling routes are built and go out first, prior to any Livingston loads
  • Manage live loading and assist loaders with loading when things get backed up
  • When live loading is not achieved be sure to audit and help loaders load

Any other duties assigned by a supervisor.

Must be in current position for 6 months

Warehouse experience mandatory

Supervisory experience preferrable
