Position Purpose: Manages a multi-channel technical advertising publishing environment and inherent programs/workflow and process; adjustments to each as necessary to ensure streamlined cost effective solutions to market. This position is responsible for primary support of a SQL-based publishing system, and the integration and support of prepress publishing software including IBM Promotions Manager, Marketing Integration solutions / SAS and the Macintosh desktop publishing environment. This position is responsible to actively seek and recommend innovative solutions to support automation and cost-out efficiencies associated to our processes and tools we employ. This position has direct management responsibility of subordinate staff.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
-40%-Manages Advertising Systems team and inherent multi-channel technical publishing processes. Proactively monitors environment, makes adjustments / recommendations as necessary to be reactive and nimble to change and deliver results. Serves as mentor; empowers team , fosters ownership in the work they produce.
-35%-Drives research of advanced or new technologies amongst team and provides recommendations for annual planning and budget allocation, ensures we remain current in all multi-channel publishing technology. Ensures self and subordinate team remain current state with industry and technology trends and ensures we are optimum in cost
-15%-Partners with internal/external customers at both technical and non-technical levels identifying system solutions and capabilities to meet business needs. These solutions are based upon the knowledge of Home Depot’s Integrated Marketing applications and underlying data structures
-10%-Manages annual capital expenditures and software renewals to keep environment current. Support Director of Systems/Production with negotiation of new and renewal contracts and licensing agreements, partners with Marketing Finance on annual allocations
Nature and Scope: This position reports to Director Advertising Systems; This position has 3 Direct Reports
Environmental Job Requirements: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Standard Minimum Qualifications:
-Must be eighteen years of age or older.
-Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.
Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
-SQL, HTML ,PHP AppleScript and Apple Certified preferred
-Cataloging and encoding familiarity with CSS, XML
-Familiarity with maintenance and management of integrated library and metadata collections and oversight of content management systems
