Job Summary

Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital (GPBH) is dedicated to providing exceptional behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and youth. The primary responsibilities are as follows: • Initiate and maintain all pre-employment reference and background checks, as well as all on boarding paperwork. • Ensure overall compliance of employee personnel files in accordance to internal and external auditors. • Participate in hospital survey process, performance evaluations, open enrollment and other special projects. • Function as a liaison for employee benefits and employee relations issues. • Inputting and maintaining hospital HRIS information. • Ability to maintain the upmost confidentiality. • Lead by example and champion the philosophy of Service Excellence

 

 

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree within Business, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources or related field required; Master’s level applicants preferred.
  • 4-6 years of HR Generalist or related experience required
  • 1-3 years of healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of all IL state and Federal employment and labor law.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is customer focused.
