POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager is responsible for ongoing, effective operations and the assessment and improvement of activities. Such responsibilities encompass the internal functioning of the department, which facilitates the functioning of the overall organization. The Manager supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards to all customer groups.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

2. Current licensure/permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas

3. BSN required or must complete within 2 years

4. Current BLS certification or obtain within 3 months of hire date and maintain certification throughout employment

5. Minimum of 2 years leadership experience

6. Appropriate clinical experience

7. The following are required and must be maintained throughout employment.

a. Heart Hospital i. ACLS completion within 3 months

b. Adult Critical Care

i. ACLS completion within 3 months

ii. TNCC

c. Med/Surg

i. Handle with Care within three (3) months of hire or promotion

d. WIH

i. ACLS completion within six (6) months of hire or promotion, and maintain certification throughout employment

ii. NRP completion within six (6) months of hire or promotion, and maintain certification throughout employment

iii. Intermediate fetal monitoring (AWHONN) first available class after 6 months of hire and must maintain throughout employment

iv. STABLE within 12 months of hire or promotion; does not have to be maintained

e. Children’s

i. PALS completion within six (6) months of hire or promotion, and maintain certification throughout employment

ii. NRP completion within six (6) months of hire or promotion, and maintain certification throughout employment

iii. STABLE within 12 months of hire or promotion; does not have to be maintained
