Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Online Merchandise Analytics Manager – Homedepot.com will be responsible for conducting advanced modeling and analytics of online data with the goal of identifying, recommending, and executing strategies to achieve business objectives and maximize sales and profitability across all channels. The individual will be responsible for sourcing data from various THD systems, developing user-friendly dashboards and tools for Online Merchants and suppliers, and performing analyses improve online merchandising decisions. Uses advanced statistical, econometric, and quantitative analysis techniques to develop in-depth understanding of homedepot.com opportunities.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

40% - Develop scalable and actionable models / visualization tools to allow Online Merchandising leadership to efficiently identify key opportunities and make data-driven, strategic decisions
30% - Conduct thorough analyses to identify, prioritize, and recommend key online merchandising opportunities related to assortment, pricing, promotions, and profitability
20% - Develop and maintain supplier collaboration tools in support of homedepot.com objectives
10% - Partner with cross-functional counterparts (e.g. Supply Chain, Finance, Category Experience, Marketing, etc.) to ensure development of well-thought out, sustainable, and effective solutions

This position reports to Sr Mgr Merchandise Planning.
This position has 0 direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
6 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
Experience querying and mining large relational and unstructured transactional/clickstream data in SQL Server, Teradata or DB2 systems
Experience with THD enterprise architecture
Experience conceptualizing, developing and deploying innovative analytical solutions in production environment: architect solutions to streamline and automate reports; develop complex stored procedures, macros or routines in SQL Server or Teradata; aggregate data from disparate/cross-functional data sources; design and develop dashboards using advanced visualization techniques; distribute reports using Tableau or Microstrategy
Experience identifying key data insights through traditional analytical tools (Excel, Tableau) or advanced statistical modeling techniques using SAS, R or similar tools

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communications skills at all levels; ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong business intelligence and data analysis skills with proven ability that has resulted in scalable and actionable reporting solutions
Skilled in translating business questions / problems into analytical models
Identifying critical and key data sources across numerous and disparate data sources
Experience with conducting complex ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) operations in a scalable fashion
Designing and developing both distributed reports and interactive dashboards
Data modeling and creating new databases from previously unstructured data sources
Experience with the following Business Intelligence dashboard and reporting platforms: Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
