What You'll Do

The successful leader will build a high performance team and work with the sales segments and architecture teams, business entities, and East channel teams to engage with executive leadership at key partners to drive sustainable growth and attain sales goals. The leader will be the chief consultant to the East Channel Leadership team regarding sales strategies, competitive threat mitigation, product acquisitions and their value proposition. This individual will lead and manage a team of Partner Account Managers. They will work in alignment with Direct team (Enterprise, Commercial, SLED) and
will support Operations Director in managing field sales team.


This is a strategic leadership role to accelerate Partner revenues working with 3 key business segments (Enterprise, Commercial, SLED). Develop partner strategies and propose initiatives to increase sales and awareness of Cisco solutions focusing on partner growth, profitability, and loyalty. Support and leverage other channel organizations to achieve Cisco goals: partner ecosystem, field marketing, product launch teams, enablement, Services, and Business Entities. Hire, develop, and retain quality contributors that bring a diverse perspective and background to the channel organization. This position reports to the Sales Operations Director in U.S. East Channels and will manage a channel sales team, local and/or remote. Travel 30-40%.

Who You Are

·             You are passionate about building high performing teams

·             5+ years of technical sales/channel management experience with major partner accounts

·             Understand large business organizations, their business buying cycles and how to transform businesses through technology

·             Experience selling and managing in technology and networking industry and knowledge of LAN/WAN is required. Security, Data Center/Cloud, Collaboration, and Software experience is desired

·             Partner leadership experience is desired

·             Deep knowledge of Partner business models and how they produce unique customer value

·             Strong collaboration skills

·             Experience working with Commercial, SLED, and Enterprise architecture and sales teams to drive joint sales objectives

·             Must demonstrate an ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment

·             Experience with sales in a complex channel business is essential

·             Excellent communication skills and a motivator
