Position Description

The Medical Report Technician will receive and pre generate addenda requests on prior submitted exams.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Scan received Addendum Request 2507
  • Screen Addendum Request for duplicate request, non - MSLA request, active / non - active provider
  • Identify affected DBQ Exam
  • Identify type of request if Medical Opinion, Report Clarification, Medical Record Review, Diagnostic Testing (Billable/Non-Billable)
  • Upload scanned Addendum Request 2507
  • Pre - Generate Report in CMS
  • Data entry of General and Specific Instructions into pre-generated report
  • Determine need for additional evidence for review
  • If additional evidence required, download from VA website (VBMS, Virtual VA), sort and upload into CMS
  • Update Post - QA Addendum Log
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post - Secondary Education/Training - Anatomy & Physiology recommended
  • 6+ months  Medical Records, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance
  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency
