Description:

Quantitative Management is looking for an experienced .Net Developer, preferably with an Investments/Financial background. The ideal candidate must be proficient in .Net and experience with Oracle database development and/or SQL Server.  

 

Candidates must understand and translate customer’s requirements and needs into technical solutions. Candidates must interpret knowledge from user’s interaction to generate and maintain proper documentation. Candidates must have a proven history of building responsive web applications and working with multi-tier applications.  Candidates must be comfortable working in a test-driven development environment. This position requires an individual capable of working independently and in a variety of capacities. To be considered for this position, Candidates must possess strong oral/written communication skills, work well with others, and the ability to multitask.  The selected candidate will be part of a highly talented development team. The Developer whose primary responsibility will be enhancing and supporting internally developed applications and external packages. The selected candidate will be part of a team that works with Business Analysts, Testers, Investment Professionals, Operations, and other System Professionals. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for trouble shooting and production support.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with the development management team to design and implement use cases

  • Analyze business requirements then design and code web applications, services, and batch processes using .NET framework 4.5

  • Document code using XML comments

  • Understand and follow the complete software development life cycle methodology

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Develop and execute test scenarios to ensure the stability and performance of applications utilizing unit test framework

  • Production support

  • Use of TFS on a daily basis as an ALM tool


  • 5 years prior .NET development

  • .NET framework 4.5

  • C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, AJAX, Windows Communication Foundation

  • JavaScript , JSON, HTML CSS and JQuery

  • Visual Studio 2013 (or above)

  • SQL, Oracle, SQL Server

  • Expert in Object Oriented Programming

  • Experience in Service Oriented Architecture

  • Experience of multi-tier development

  • Experience with UML diagrams

  • Experience with multitier design

  • Experience with unit test framework

  • Experience with Team Foundation Server 2013 (or above)

  • Experience in multicore/multithreading programming

  • Knowledge of Microsoft reporting service

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Patterns and Best Practices

  • Knowledge of Salesforce

  • Knowledge of IoC (experience with Castle Windsor a plus)

  • Knowledge/Experience of overall financial Services industry

  • Knowledge of Telerik controls

  • Familiar with Application Lifecycle Management

  • B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
