What You’ll Do

We need a Consulting Engineer who will drive delivery excellence in solution validation labs. If people know you as a charismatic consultant engineer who has a consistent track record delivering on multiple projects in multiple roles, then you’re just the consulting engineer we’re looking for.

As a consulting engineer,  you’ll have ample opportunity to work with customers, internal stakeholders, and envision a development strategy that has our best interests at heart. Map out the possibilities and chart a path to great achievements by crafting next generation solution labs and validation solutions across Enterprise and Service Provider customers. You will engage with and influence customers on Cisco Routing and Switching, Cable, Optical and Datacenter solutions.

Who You’ll Work With

We are a global organization, you will interact and work with peers located globally. As a consulting engineers, you will work with customers, solution architects, project managers, sales, engineering teams and collaborate on an end solution for the customer deliverable. You will be interacting with experts in diverse architectures such as Routing and Switching, Cable, Optical and Datacenter. You will have an  opportunity to engage with customers, 3rdParty vendors and other Cisco partners on successful planning and execution of validation engagements.

Who You Are

In this highly visible customer facing role as Validation Services Consulting Engineer, you will: Be a Solution Validation Domain Guide focusing on Global Service Provider Segment. Work with 3rdParty vendors to drive end to end solutions benefiting GSP infrastructure. Drive requirement discussion, analyze test requirements, build test lab configurations, execute and document results.

Collaborate with the customer and solution architects from delivery and sales team and collaborate on future initiatives to win customer business.

Identify key issues, gaps and drive with engineering and delivery to resolve issues.

Develop/integrate new technology into lab pods. Drive automation to gain efficiency. Validate new design solutions to meet customer requirements.

Conduct new technology/roadmap presentations to customers.

Maintain validation lab current with production requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Routing and Switching experience, R&S CCIE or Data Center CCIE or SP CCIE written required

  • MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, LAN Switching, Data Center Switching. Nexus 7K architecture experience preferred. Design, Architecture, and or Validation experience
  • IOS XR, IOS-XE, NX-OS, CMTS, and IOS configuration and test
  • Cisco platforms: cBR8, NCS2k, CRS, ASR9K, Nexus 7K, Nexus 9K, Cisco R&S platforms
  • Test Automation and or scripting Experience. Strong communication skills(written, verbal and presentation)
  • Test and or Design/Architecture experience
