What You'll Do
* Provide planning, designing, implementation, and optimization services to Cisco Service Provider’s customer
* Participates in or leads Large Service Provider IP Core, IP RAN and/or Data Center infrastructure design/implementation and migration, performance engineering or problem resolution projects. 
* You solve complex issues that cross many technologies in such as IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Netflow, and Cisco Platform of ASR9000, CRS, ASR903/907, Catalyst 6500/6800, Nexus 7K/5K
* Delivers and execute migration plans, with a deep understanding on networked applications and related dependencies. 
* Participates in regular status meetings, handling specific asks from the customer and leading customer expectations from Cisco Service Provider solution and Architecture
* Ensure smooth closure of engagements using relationship with the customer to guide them to the next step i.e. Sampler service to Assessment Service, Assessment Service to Optimization Service.
* Guide other consultants and engineers, resolving challenges and ensuring customer success.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent plus 8+ years of related experience in IT industry.
* You have broad technical knowledge of the Service Provider Technologies and its components: IP Core/MPLS, IP RAN, Data Center, Fixed (ADSL, FTTx) & Mobile Communication Technologies (2G/3G/4G) and projects surrounding their planning, design, implementation, operation, and optimization. 
* Architectural knowledge of Fixed or Mobile Service Providers
* Expert Level Understanding with Core Routing and Switching including IGP (OSPF, IS-IS), LDP, BGP, L3/L2VPN, RSVP-TE, Multicast VPN, Inter-AS
* You're experienced with one of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash. Python experience is strongly preferred. 
* Networking: OSI Layer 2/Layer 3 switching /routing, Spanning-Tree, DNS/DHCP WAN/ISP.
* Compute technologies: x86, hypervisor (Openstack/KVM), OS (Linux/Windows), workload mobility are an advantage but not mandatory
* Service Provider Performance, Configuration and Optimization Toolkit (netflow, Rancid, IP SLA)
* Sound knowledge in Network/Infrastructure Security technologies (Service Provider Infrastructure protection, Firewall, Access control, Intrusion detection/DDoS detection)

Desired Skills
* CCIE Preferred, CCIE SP and/or RS Certification a plus
* Strong customer-facing sales and architectural skills. Core expertise to include design concepts, IT analysis/analytical thinking, innovation management, Service Provider perspective and process knowledge. 
* You understand the industry landscape (competitors and partners). 
* High-level, out-of-the-box thinking, analytical reasoning, and creative problem solving skills. Ability to shift from high-level thinking to realistic and pragmatic execution is essential.
* Deep understanding of the end-to-end IT process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations
