What You’ll Do

You will join Advanced Services ( AS ) Cisco’s award winning organization that functions as the competitive differentiator for Cisco’s customers to solve their toughest challenges by delivering customer specific business solutions. GDC’s highly technical, global resources support customer engagements in all regions acting as a seamless delivery partner to AS practice and regional teams. These capabilities expand Cisco's technical reach across all Cisco architectures – Route & Switch, Collaboration, Data Center/Virtualization, Cloud, Mobility, Video, NGN and OSS.

Main responsibilities:
• Participates in or leads complex DC (Data Center) network design/migration including cutting edge technologies such as SDN (ACI), performance engineering or problem resolution projects.
• Solves complex, cross-functional issues that cross many technologies in network, server, storage, O/S, virtualisation, consolidation, middleware, security, applications, operations, content switching, caching and/or content delivery networks, and security.
• Delivers migration plan for software upgrades, has therefore a thorough understanding on networked applications and related dependencies
• Develops/Co-authors technical white papers in the areas of design, deployment and customer case studies.
• Provide Planning, Designing, Implementation, Operation and Optimisation assistance to Advanced Services Customers around Cisco’s Data Center solutions.
• Experience with and knowledge of vendor/partner selection in multiple areas of technology, preferably in the data center
• Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with teams.

Who You’ll Work With

The Cloud & Network Services team consists of Cloud, Datacenter and Route/Switch specializations. As the largest team of Network Consultants in the Global Delivery Center in Krakow, the team is responsible for the execution and delivery of project and optimization solutions focused primarily on the EMEAR region. The NCE delivers the technologies, solutions and services that make a difference to our European and Global Service Providers. In this role, you will be "Cisco's face to the customer," working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and able to understand our customers business needs and challenges.

Who You Are

Main requirements:

Typically requires university degree equivalent along with 3+ years of relevant experience
• CCNP mandatory, CCIE preferred, VCP Certification a plus
• Understanding of Data Center architectures, experience in planning, design & implementation of Data Center infrastructure
• Will be able to design, deploy & support Cisco data center products with hands-on experience in operation and configuration of Cisco network devices (e.g. routers, switches)
• Catalyst 6500 & other catalyst platforms product architecture knowledge and hands on experience is a must
• Experience in Nexus switches is highly preferred
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Experience in building and designing large multi-protocol inter-networks
• Demonstrated industry awareness
• Understands and can articulate the technical merits and value of data center virtualisation
• Strong customer-interaction skills and architectural skills.
• Proven ability to document appropriate technical information to serve as base for training, technical operations run books and knowledge objects.
• English language skills mandatory, additional European language (German, French, Italian, Spanish or Russian) is a plus.
