What You'll Do

The Network Consulting Engineer-Security is part of the Global Delivery Centers (GDC), which provides flexible and innovative ways to help meet customer needs while improving profitability for the Advanced Services (AS) delivery teams. GDC’s highly technical global resources support customer engagements in all theaters acting as a seamless delivery partner to AS practice and theater teams. The NCE is considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Security.

In this highly visible role as Network Consulting Engineer, you will:

  • Deliver professional services engagements to customers across the Americas
  • Provide implementation services including on-site and remote support, configuration, network connectivity and testing of services, NRFU/Acceptance, and Customer and Partner training and workshops.
  • Act as team lead and provide guidance, training and share your expertise to extended team members
  • Provide expert guidance to customers seeking better security for their networks
  • Report and Document work performed - weekly, monthly, and yearly auditing
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in a Sourcefire technology; become an extension of the customer’s team and trusted advisor
  • Deliver large-scale IDS/IPS deployment exceeding 300,000 nodes
  • Present to small groups and perform small-scale discussions/training to the extended team
  • Travel up to 70% delivering Professional Services to clients in the Americas region
  • Provide lifecycle services for different types of engagements including Proof-of Concept, Early Field Trials, Pre-sales Trials and large-scale deployments.
  • Up to 70% international & national travel may be required

Who You'll Work With

The GDC works with customers worldwide as consultants helping to design, implement, troubleshoot and solve extremely critical issues. You have a unique opportunity to join this team as a subject matter expert in Security Technologies.

Who You Are

Above all, you're an expert in network security design, architecture and implementation with strong communication skills in both Spanish and English with experience managing client relations.

You have a thorough knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP protocols and a detailed understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP), as well as layer 2 protocols and related technologies.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in which 7-10 years have been in systems/network security administration. 
  • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting at least one or more of the following Cisco security technologies: IPS/FirePower (SourceFire), ASA, CSM, VPN, ESA, ISE, AMP, CSM, IDS, ACS
  • Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network security for enterprise customers.
  • BS in a technical field.
  • Advanced English - spoken and written
  • Available to travel 70% nationally and internationally (must have valid passport)
  • Position is based in Mexico City (required)

Our desired skills for this role:

  • Experience working in Service Provider Environments
  • CCIE or CCNP Security Certification (but not required).
  • Vulnerability Assessment understanding
