RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scripting in Python, Perl, PHP, Scala, Go or Bash
  • Design and implement Routing & switching solutions within an Enterprise network.
  • Design and implement WiFi solutions within an Enterprise network.
  • Provide escalated troubleshooting support for multiple Network systems and technologies for both data and voice (routers, switches, firewall load balancers, network-interconnecting devices), carrier circuits, integration with server and desktop environments.
  • Produce Details design documentations for network Implementation team to deploy.
  • Implement and test production changes according to Detailed Design, Functional Specifications and/or Project plans.
  • Responsible for hardware and software installations, upgrades, capacity-adds.
  • Work with vendors in quoting, ordering and procurement of Network software and hardware.
  • Review accuracy of quotes and quote configurations.
  • Present budgetary costs to stakeholders. Create Run Book and/or Implementation Guide for Operations.
  • Create Training documentation for use by Engineering and Support organizations.
  • Accountable for ongoing modifications as needed. Create standards and execute monitoring methods related to Capacity Planning and Traffic Engineering.
  • Develop Detailed Design for implementation of technical work. This includes Network Topologies, Site Configurations, Contact Center and Call Flow designs.
  • Define implementation and testing procedures.
  • Interface directly as a liaison with Architecture Teams.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Solid Network Design and implementation skills in IP Routing and switching (layer 2 & 3)
  • In-depth understanding of WAN protocols, and transport layer technologies such as Frame Relay, Point-to-Point and MPLS.
  • Experience in a large Enterprise network environment designing and implementing layer 1 thru 7 network solutions for Routing & switching, Wireless, and Transport layer (Telco.)
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with network configuration including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF routing protocols is a must.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring Cisco Routers & Switches, Fortinet and Cisco ASA firewalls. Wireless WLAN Controllers & Access Points and F5 load-balancers.
  • Hands-on experience with Arista switches is a plus. Must understand multi-tiered network designs (Core-Distribution-access.)
  • Very good understanding of data services such as DNS/DHCP (Infoblox preferred), Active Directory, and Cisco VPN/remote access solutions.
  • Also, required knowledge of Internet connectivity design including Security and Proxy infrastructure.
  • Heavy experience with Firewalls, Load-balancers (Cisco & F5), Proxy Servers, WAN Optimization technology.
  • Education Required: Minimum a Bachelor's Degree or Technical Certification.
  • Knowledge of scripting a MUST. (Perl, Python, PHP, Chef etc...)
  • Cloud Services certification (AWS) and experience
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN)
