Job Title Network Engineer - L2 Network Monitoring Ops

Location: Mexico City, MEX

Description Technical support and monitoring (L2) for all the network infrastructure (voice & data) of a major financial customer.

This role will assist our L1.5 engineers with more complex network issues or any escalation. This role with assist in solving network incidents (tickets) for the different network technologies (LAN, WLAN, WAN, Load Balancers, DHCP, IPT, PBX, etc.)

This position must role shifts in order to support a 7x24 operation.



**Roles and Responsibilities:**

7x24 monitoring of customer voice & data infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN, Load Balancers, DHCP, IPT, PBX, etc.)

- Opening proactive tickets on Incident Management Tool (Maximo)

- L2 network troubleshooting, incident documentation and follow-up until it´s resolution.

- Alert & communicate Sev1 according to defined process.

- Follow the escalation process to L3 or vendor.

- Assist L1.5 in the execution of voice and data MACD

- Review and assist with the preparation of daily, monthly and quarterly operational reports.



**Key Competencies and Skills:**

ITIL basic knowledge or demonstrable skills

Fluent Spanish and English speaking.

Service Management and Customer oriented.

Experience working or leading a network monitoring center (NOC)

5 Years of Experience Managing Cisco Devices (Voice & Data)

Experience or knowledge in Avaya Voice Products. (desirable)

Availability to work different shifts in order to support a 7x24 operation



**Education and Qualifications:**

Bachelor Degree in Computer Systems, Telecommunications, Electronics or similar.

Spanish or English speaking degrees or certifications (if not mother tongue).

Cisco CCNA R&S Certified or Cisco CCNA Voice Certified

Cisco CCNP R&S Certified or Cisco CCVP Certified

Experience managing Avaya products or demonstrable skills (desirable)
