The Nashville Regional office of Foundations is located just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, in the beautiful city of Brentwood. In the National Regional Office, you will find FRN’s Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology, Accounting, Central Business Office, Administration, Payroll and Admissions Center. Each department plays its part in the support of our facilities, so that the attention can be where it should be: on the patients. Foundations Recovery Network is currently seeking a NexGen Analyst to provide support for all patient accounting and billing services. In addition, this position will be responsible for performing complex systems analyses related to one or more functional areas, developing and maintaining databases, spreadsheets and reports and identifying performance improvement opportunities. We are looking for someone who knows NexGen like the back of their hand, can respond to questions about its functionality and who is highly detail oriented and accurate. This position will be located at Foundations Recovery Network’s Nashville Regional Office located in Brentwood, TN.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Engages with Facility Business Office Representatives on a daily basis to provide NexGen support for patient accounting and billing services
• Performs a variety of financial analyses and reports
• Researches and resolves complex financial accounts in conjunction with the Accounting Department
• Performs audits of facility-level data entry for treatment, physician and incidental charges, accuracy of payment and adjustment posting, private pay accounts receivable, unapplied funds, credit balances, benefits, etc.
• Performs system maintenance to include: adding payers, creating new practices, adding and attaching new physicians, adding and/or adjusting contracts, transaction codes and fee schedules, etc.
• Recommends and coordinates the implementation of enhancements to the computerized billing systems and procedures (Upgrades, ERA, Background Billing Processor, etc.), including design, coordination with information technology, review testing, implementation and training of staff both internal and external customers
• Maximizes the use of internal systems to enhance workflow and improve productivity
• Assists in the preparation and delivery of status reports and other monthly activity reports
• Oversees the current status of billing and assists in identifying and resolving billing and processing problems and discrepancies
• Assists with daily posts, corrects and applies patient and insurance payments, including all bill types and corresponding contractual adjustments to patient accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting of accounts
• Facilitates Month end and Year end close

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must be able to accurately produce work which requires continual attention to detail
• Must possess advanced skills within the entire Microsoft Office Suite and NexGen
• Ability to read, write, and analyze detailed and complex data
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to sit for long, extended periods in one fixed location
• Team player, strong communication skills, customer oriented, leadership skills • Strong mathematical acumen required
• Strong analytical skills – must be able to analyze data and formulate strategies to improve performance

Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is highly desired
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience with medical billing and collections practices
• Certified Coder desired
• Must have a minimum of two years’ experience working with NexGen and other healthcare billing software
