Job Description
Boulder Creek Academy is a premiere residential therapeutic boarding school nestled in the beautiful Cabinet Mountains of Northern Idaho.  We pride ourselves on developing and implementing individualized academic and emotional growth programming for students 13-18 years of age while also supporting families with developing and sustaining lifelong strategies for the school and home environment.  The mission of Boulder Creek Academy is to empower students and families to achieve excellence in personal growth, relationships and lifelong learning.
We currently have full time Night Staff Counselor openings for mature and dependable role models and mentors.  
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for supervision of students in a dormitory setting during sleeping hours. 
  • Ensure a physically and emotionally safe sleeping environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures and all licensing and certification requirements.
  • Primarily responsible for maintaining accurate count of students by conducting routine and periodic checks of sleeping quarters.
  • Supervise evening activities and movement of students.
  • Document activities/movements according to operation standards.
  • Resolve conflicts and contain inappropriate and/or unsafe behavior by following behavior management plans, setting and enforcing boundaries and limits, and maintaining adherence to agreements, according to company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and report occurrences to supervisor and other necessary staff to ensure the safety and general well-being of students and campus.
  • Manages medical and medication needs of students according to operation standards and procedures
  • Responsible for Company and personal Service Excellence standards.
 

SCHEDULE:  Three or Four nights per week including one weekend night - hours from 9:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

SALARY:  $11.00 - $13.00 an hour to start depending on experience.

TRAINING:  25 Hours of on the job training provided as well as First Aid/CPR and AEGIS Training.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:  High School Diploma or equivalent 

AGE: Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age per Idaho licensing requirements.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: General knowledge of workplace and office safety

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently walk and patrol grounds of 5 to 10 acre area
Frequently climb stairs, nightly to check on dorms
Frequently exposed to outside weather, either cold or hot
