Job Title Occupational Health Registered Nurse

Location: Westport, MO

Description The Part Time (24 hrs / week) Occupational Health & Wellness Nurse will be responsible clinic operations at the St. Louis Pfizer Sites. RN will collaborate with extended OHW team and report directly to off site manager.



Performs patient care activities such as triage, counseling, patient education, sick or emergency visits, first aid, and other activities as needed or directed

Provides preventive medicine and wellness services and counseling. Supports site health promotion and disease prevention programs

Conducts medical surveillance exams and new hire assessment

Provides care for patients with occupational injuries and illnesses as well as minor acute episodic care.

Develops and updates clinical and operational procedures and protocols

Documents patient data in electronic medical database(s), as applicable per standard protocols

Participates on site, regional or global committees/sub-teams as assigned

Participates in site Healthy Pfizer screening and wellness initiative events



RN Board Certification

COHN-S preferred

Suggest a minimum of 5 years of experience as an OHW professional

Demonstrates experience in acute episodic care, wellness care and counseling of adults

Proficiency in use of electronic medical record keeping systems desirable

OHW Technical Competency #2: Risk Avoidance/Minimization/Control

As applied to:

1. Diagnosis and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses

2. Preventive care

3. Medical screening and surveillance

4. Universal precautions

5. Wellness programs

6. Ergonomics

7. Employee Assistance Programs

8. Clinical procedures

9. Fitness for Duty assessments

10. Emergency response triage

11. Medical monitoring of emergency responders

12. New Colleague Orientation

13. Training on appropriate site-specific OHW procedures, practices, policies, concepts



OHW Technical Competency #3: Compliance Assessment &; Auditing

As applied to:

1. Occupational health program auditing

2. Medical documentation

3. Medical protocols



NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Clinic hours may fluctuate depending on site needs and wellness initiatives. OHW nurse will drive to two additional Pfizer Sites as needed.
