Description

Job Purpose: Assist the Managers with the daily operation of the sales office. Act as liaison between TV station client personnel, media buyers and account executives to maintain an efficient office.

Core Responsibilities:

• Interview, hire and train sales assistants and all other clerical workers.
• Prepare or assist with new hire paperwork and forward to NY office, when necessary.
• Direct Report and supervise sales assistants.
• Resolve personnel issues and keep NY office informed of any ongoing problems.
• Contribute information to help evaluate sales assistant performance.
• Guide newly hired assistant until they can run a desk proficiently.
• Delegate and monitor workload on an open desk or overloaded desk to other assistants.
• Check assistant’s desks on a weekly basis.
• Responsible for checking DARE to insure a timely process and assist in posting schedules.
• Prepare and coordinate phone duty coverage for the office.
• Perform sales assistant duties when coverage is needed.
• Maintain vacation and sick day log and approve time reported in InSite.
• Maintain inventory for all office supplies.
• Act as a liaison for building management.
• Help coordinate client or office functions and assist with setup.
• Request and distribute various managerial reports.
• Provide administrative support.
• Manage and maintain various reports.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain outlook calendar.
• Maintain and update contact information for office.
• Provide support to the office with any Medialine or Dashboard questions.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
• At least one year as a Sales Assistant or related industry experience
• College Degree Preferred
• Must be proficient in sales assistant functions, possess ability to work independently and create a productive work environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Great attention to detail and strong follow-through.
• Ability to operate successfully with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented envirionment.
• Must have excellent communication skills (written and conversational).
