The Operational Implementation Associate Director will deliver business objectives as part of the transformative, multi-year Polaris initiative. Goals will be accomplished through building collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and partners.  All aspects of Polaris business activities are included in this project manager/analyst role: Organizational Readiness (change readiness, planning, training, workflow, process & procedure optimization, quality and business rules), Polaris Configuration and Polaris Operations.  This position is on the E&I Strategic Programs Business PMO team. 
 
This is a combined role as a Business Project Manager and Operational Implementation/Readiness Associate Director.  Provides day to day operations support to complete activities relating to specific business PMO Organization and Operational Readiness activities. Responsible for the planning, coordination and completion of projects within assigned domains across strategic programs. Delivers presentations to PMO leadership on project updates, project cycle and expected results. Ensures specific readiness tasks are completed on time and in scope.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage team of Operational Implementation Analysts on the Business PMO team, proactively foster a positive, productive working team
  • Lead the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Going in Position - GIP)
  • Ensure alignment of program/project scope and objectives with the organization's strategic objectives
  • Ensure that all impacted Operational areas are identified, and that appropriate resources are engaged to participate in the scope definition process
  • Ensure that project scope, requirements and approvals comply with current governance guidelines and methodology
  • Monitor scope requirements and identify scope-related gaps and issues
  • Obtain agreement on project scope from applicable stakeholders, and ensures that requirements sign-off is obtained
  • Ensure that all project deliverables and success criteria are identified
  • Identify project duration, effort, sequence, and dependencies of tasks required to meet applicable project objectives related to Operational and Organizational Readiness work
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource assignments and dependencies
  • Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution (e.g., resource demand planning)
  • Ensure that resources are acquired to meet project requirements, escalating for assistance where gaps exist
  • Ensure that project schedules include all tasks and activities necessary to achieve project objectives
  • Adhere to applicable project planning processes/methodologies (e.g., Agile) in order to ensure that all required project resources are aligned and available (including testing environments)
  • Manages Operational Readiness project schedule, quality, communications and relationships
