Hawaii Operator Territory Manager - across 4 major islands of Hawaii

The Operator Territory Manager (OTM) for Food Service Distributor Sales contributes to the success of PepsiCo Foodservice by executing initiatives across five lines of business: Frito Lay, Quaker Oats, Tropicana, Gatorade and Pepsi for assigned Food Service distributors and territory operator base.

  • Sales leader, setting the annual agenda for distributors and operators through business optimization, program management and distributor sales team interaction
  • Achieve annual sales and profit plan by identifying opportunities, strategies and tactics, and by influencing key stakeholders and operators within distributor base
  • Sell in new PepsiCo products to foodservice operators and achieve 100% distribution across operator base
  • Identify and develop key senior level relationships that should be initiated to further attain goals; Relationship building among all branches of distributors while working with Market Development Manager (sales, marketing, operations, procurement)
  • Execute all aspects of distributor marketing programs for designated distributors with Market Development Manager
  • Ensure distributor marketing activities/budgets, trade-spend and selling expense targets are met while working with Market Development Manager
  • Manage applicable operator trade management (communication, compliance tracking and customer base payment distribution)
  • Key operator business review preparation and presentation
  • Attend customer meetings at multiple levels across state of Hawaii (branch-, operator- and district-level meetings)
  • Distributor order guide management (ensuring SKU level accuracy and maximizing SKU presence)
  • DSR field work-withs (focusing on driving street business through training DSR's in PepsiCo product line management)
  • Operator account call coverage with large street operators, College/University, K-12 education, healthcare, and multi-unit operators
  • Distributor trade-show support to Market Development Manager. Must be prepared to take responsibility to manage shows and sales events if Market Development Manager is unavailable
  • Consistent customer consultation to maximize sales opportunity for both your customer and PepsiCo (win-win)


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, plus 1 year of outside sales experience
  • A minimum of one year Food Service or consumer packaged goods selling experience
  • Demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability and desire to work independently in the absence of direct supervision
  • Proven ability to consistently meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex business issues
  • Analytical, leadership and excellent computer skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and dependability
  • Strong communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate and present effectively to all levels of an organization
  • Ability to manage large operator base, develop and implement call structures and frequencies across four major islands of Hawaii
  • Must be willing and able to travel 40% of the time
  • Must be willing to accept responsibility for operators across 4 major islands of Hawaii and must be willing manage 1 - 3 hour drive time to operators on a regular basis
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
