Primary function of this position is to receive lenses into AR (anti-reflective) and process- map them for the various operations they will go through during AR coating. This position will be cleaning and inspecting and loading them into clean line baskets using a prescribed tracking system.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Hand cleans lenses
  • Inserts lenses in rings and documents tracking of lenses
  • Batches lenses by type
  • Loads lenses in baskets and starts ultrasonic
  • Unloads lenses from rings
  • QC inspects lenses
  • Sorts processed lenses back into original Tray or envelope
  • Maintains all documentation to track lenses
  • Transfers lenses from ultrasonic to ovens
  • Visually inspects lenses going in for cleanliness and coming out for cosmetic properties.
  • Follows all procedures at all times
  • Assists in training other operators to perform above duties
  • Consistently meets Key Operating Measures such as a Quality Control, Breakage Cost  / Rx, equipment utilization, attendance, and on time shipment.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement techniques to exceed minimum standards
  • Work with team lead
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to wear hair nets, jacket, gloves and masks at all time
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED or higher
  • Ability to work any shift between 9:00am-5:30pm
  • Ability to navigate a PC environment and utilize Microsoft Office ( Word - create templates, Excel - update spreadsheets and Outlook - send emails and update calendar)  for basic tasks in a professional setting
  • Production or Manufacturing experience.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Must have 20 / 20 vision
  • Able to lift 40lbs. repeatedly
  • Standing and/or sitting down for a long periods at a time
