The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing intensive group therapy for assigned patients according to their individual needs. The OP therapist completes individual assessments  and assigns treatment goals accordingly. The OP therapist also completes individual and family therapy as needed, completes all necessary paperwork per policy, consults with other treating providers, and serves as a support and resource for the inpatient hospital, as needed.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:    Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field

Experience: Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience in social work and three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and related treatment modalities.  The IOP therapist must have strong clinical assessment skills and working knowledge of the DSM.

License:   LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC, required. (As well as LCAC or other equivalent Chemical Dependency Certification required for CD IOP)

Additional Requirements:   The therapist may be required to work flexible hours.  Must maintain paneling/credentialing for reimbursement.
