Job Description

PepsiCo is looking for a Packaging Specialist to join our busy manufacturing site in Lincoln.

Our factory in Lincoln is famous for production of tasty snack brands such as Quavers and Snaps. Its been part of the PepsiCo family for nearly 80 years and went through a major upgrade in 2013 so is now home to our state of the art packaging hall of the future, making it the perfect setting for a passionate, experienced specialist to come in and help drive our long term sustainability.

As a Packaging Specialist itll be your responsibility to support the Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale Packaging Action Plan (QCDM) for the site.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Delivery and execution of QCDM Packaging Action Plan.
  • Seeking / using best packaging practice within PepsiCo.
  • Execute innovation, change and continuous improvement, by delivering packaging and productivity trials.
  • Deliver Packaging Technical Training including the identification of training requirements.
  • Ensure packaging equipment performs to optimum efficiency.
  • Audit standard settings, identifying gaps in performance and driving action to address issues.
  • Provide technical capability reports of Front Line and agree and execute training programme with Technical Specialist.
  • Deliver IPS Action plan.


Experiences required:

  • Previous experience of Short Interval Control or QCDM processes in a manufacturing setting
  • High level of technical knowledge, applied in a consistent and methodical way
  • Knowledge and experience of APS problem solving techniques
  • Understanding of the Gemba process
  • Able to optimise packaging technology including TNA, Wrights, Kliklok and Blueprint
  • Strong presentation/facilitation skills
  • Able to identify and escalate packaging training needs at all levels
  • Self-starter able to execute tasks and action plans without supervision
  • Demonstrate role model behavior for Safety, Quality and Food Safety.
  • Basic P.C skills. Outlook / Word / Excel etc
