What You'll Do

You will define the Partner and Distribution marketing strategy for EMEAR in line with Cisco’s global marketing strategy, and work with Theatre Partner Marketing leads to deliver consistent approach and execution across EMEAR.

You will build and co-ordinate the EMEAR Partner and Distribution Marketing Manager community with the purpose of innovating and developing digital marketing, with partners, across the region.

You will drive and innovate marketing ‘to’ our partner companies to increase their Cisco business.

In order to drive Cisco’s business you will build strong relationships with the Regional Partner and Distribution teams including agreed strategic partners.

You will also build excellent working relationships with global colleagues to ensure we are as agile and productive as possible in our execution.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will manage and lead the regional marketing team working on Partner and Distribution marketing.
  • You will create, build, and maintain a virtual team with all those working on Partner and Distribution marketing in EMEAR.
  • You will monitor the marketing performance of partners and share insight with partner marketing and business communities to inform investment decisions.
  • Based on insight from global and local data you will identify and agree with the Marketing Director, with responsibility for Partner marketing, and appropriate business leads, where to focus ‘to’ and ‘with’ marketing resource to contribute to the overall business.
  • You will engage with agreed regional business leaders for Distribution and Partner organisation to understand business priorities and communicate marketing capability, strategy and execution.
  • You will own the strategic relationship with agreed partners at a regional level.
  • You will ensure execution can be measured and that activities are reviewed with the aim of constant learning and improvement.
  • You will maintain and expand knowledge of the regional market including Cisco’s position within the market, market opportunity, competitive landscape, and marketing activity of agreed competitors with particular attention to partner marketing.
  • You will deliver a strategy and execution plan that will leverage and integrate across all elements of Cisco’s marketing and communication organisation, and that follows the operating model of customer first, country centric, always digital and mobile.
  • You will be an advocate for Cisco marketing to internal and external audiences.
  • You will develop your marketing knowledge on a regular basis and share this with your colleagues.

Success will require and be measured by:

  • Engagement with colleagues across the marketing and communication organisation
  • Engagement with identified business stakeholders
  • Successful execution of the marketing strategy against agreed metrics 

Reporting, stakeholders and virtual marketing team:

  • This role reports to the Marketing Director responsible for regional Partner and Distributor marketing.
  • Key business stakeholders include the regional leaders, and the teams, Distribution, and Partner organisation. 
  • Country and global partner marketing colleagues.

  • You are able to influence at all levels across marketing and sales.
  • You have successfully led both direct and virtual teams and are able to work collaboratively across a large global organisation.
  • You bring proven marketing knowledge and expertise.
  • You have a good knowledge of Cisco’s technologies, markets, customers’ challenges, and channel to be able to assess marketing plan fit to local requirements.
  • You understand the partner landscape in EMEAR.
  • You are experienced in partner marketing through 1 and 2 tier partners.
  • You are able to strategically contribute and manage in a cross-functional team environment with excellent organisational, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business and marketing qualifications preferable.
