What You'll Do

You will be the Global Partner and Distributor Marketing Manager for the Cisco Networking Infrastructure portfolio – focusing on routing, switching and wireless. Your primary stakeholder will be the team in our global partner organization that drives the Networking Infrastructure partner and distributor go to market business strategy. You will help craft the partner and distributor business value propositions for the portfolio. You will be strategizing the “to” and “through” partner strategies from a global perspective. You will be working in a matrixed organization, will be responsible for partner segmentation and customization of messaging, to make it easy and consumable for partners on all offerings and happenings around Cisco’s Enterprise Networking architecture. Working with region partner marketing counterparts, you will also own the RTM Marketing plan, which will inform the work of the Topic team and local partner marketers who plan and execute the majority of partner communications about the portfolio. Regular engagement with a broader cross functional networking infrastructure GTM team will help you understand the continuous development in the portfolio and how that impacts the partner/distributor propositions. You will also be responsible for creating content and marketing communications in support of partner programs, incentives and promotions that support partner success and enhance the overall business proposition for choosing to sell our portfolio.

You’ll be part of the Global Reseller and Distributor Marketing team. Our team spans the Cisco architectures to help turn Cisco’s business priorities into strong partner and distributor business value propositions. Our goal is to influence partners and distributors to prefer and choose Cisco to help them evolve their practices and capture market transitions so they can profit, grow and differentiate.

Who You Are

You are an experienced marketer and have familiarity with the tech industry. You have a good understanding of the technology channel landscape and the challenges and opportunities presented to partners in this time of digital transformation. You are a skilled writer and communicator who can craft messages that inspire and engage. You understand data-driven digital marketing and why it’s so important to today’s business – for anyone. You’ve execute modern marketing campaigns before, focusing on customizing messages to multiple channel and distribution personas. You are someone who is good at multitasking; you can quickly and calmly adapt to the changes that happen with new product introductions and launches. You are creative and love working with people.  You are also an effective collaborator who is comfortable working in a highly matrixed, cross functional environment with many stakeholders at various levels in the organization. With many things coming at you, you can confidently prioritize and maintain focus on the things that will add the most value to the business.

Minimum Skills:

  • 5+ years of partner marketing experience with a focus on messaging and positioning 
  • Modern marketing skill set (data-driven, Eloqua, customer-experience focused) 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications (or related field)
