What You'll Do


Cisco is looking for a Systems Engineer in the German Partner Sales Organization ideally located in Düsseldorf or Eschborn (or any other Cisco location in Germany), to partner with our Partner Account Managers (PAMs) in a pre-sales technical role in Germany. 

As SE you will collaboratively work with the PAM on the technical development and readiness of the assigned Cisco Partners. You will also be driving the technical partner strategy and enablement in close alignment with the Partner Team in order to achieve the commercial goals of the Cisco partners.
You will guide the partners to successfully position Cisco solutions and architectures. In addition, you will work with the partners to achieve the required Cisco Certifications and work jointly with other technical team and Cisco’s Subject matter experts to serve the partner needs.


In this job, you will,

  • Act as a trusted advisor for his partners and work with the PAM to demonstrate the business value of Cisco solutions and architectures 
  • Manage partner relationships at technical and sales levels
  • Provide technical, consultative and architectural sales support
  • Develop and manage the technical partner account plan
  • Guide the partners to successfully position and sell Cisco solutions and architectures
  • Work with his partners to define and build Cisco technical showcases
  • Assist and supports the partners in internal partner events
  • Assist and supports the partners in external partner sales events
  • Perform technical presentations for partners and their customers
  • Monitor Partner Sales numbers on Architecture level and conduct quarterly reviews
  • Work with the Partners and Cisco PAMs to comply with Cisco certifications
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services
  • Contribute actively to the Technical Pre-Sales community by sharing knowledge and participate in workgroups.
  • Aligns to Cisco Services organization and understands the Partner Service offerings

Who you are

You will bring

  • At least 4 years of networking experience and 2 years of field experience working with partner or end-customer accounts as a Systems Engineer or equivalent 
  • Broad technical expertise with Cisco products or relevant expertise in key competitor offerings
  • Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching and WLAN/Mobility solutions
  • Strong Collaboration know-how
  • Knowledge on Software Architectures & Models, incl. APIs and programming languages.
  • Linux/Container and Orchestration Software skills are beneficial. Basic Cloud competences are required.
  • Competitive knowledge including competitive solution, technology and product offerings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer interaction skills, open-minded, open communication
  • Willingness to take over responsibilities and accountability for the results of her/his work
  • Strong team player: drive culture of collaboration for success
  • Willingness to travel while managing cost carefully
  • Fluent in German and English (written and verbal)
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree (Telecommunication, Computer Sciences, “MINT”, etc.)

 

Desire skills

  • CCIE, CCDP, CCNP, ITIL or other advanced industry certifications will be of additional value
