Join Fairfax Behavioral Health today and provide help, hope, and healing. We currently have an available opportunity for a Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) in our Kirkland, Washington hospital.

About Us

The Fairfax Behavioral Health Kirkland campus is a 157 licensed bed facility providing psychiatric and dual disorders treatment for adolescents and adults. Fairfax also has campuses in Monroe and Everett, as well as three alternative school programs and CD services. The Kirkland hospital campus is located in a quiet residential neighborhood on the Eastside of Seattle.

Job Description
The Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) is primarily responsible for answering and appropriately managing incoming telephone calls; scheduling patient assessments/appointments; creating and updating patient pre-registrations including verification of benefits and financial counseling; setting certain expectations for patients regarding their services, and responding to customers' information needs. The PAC is also cross-trained and utilized as a Hospital Services Representative (HSR), thereby assuming the responsibilities associated with the patient discharge/check-out function. Additionally, the PAC is responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties required to support these functions and, on an as-needed basis, may be required to perform other tasks.



Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least two years working experience in a hospital or Dr. Office setting helpful. Strong background in customer service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Needs to have a general knowledge of patient accounting which includes billing and reimbursement requirements. Computer skills and ability to interact with all types of customers.
