Position Description

You will design processes, consult on project implementations and diagnose process improvement opportunities as you develop innovative solutions.  Must reside within the Mountain or Pacific time zone to be considered for Telecommute roles
 
This position will assist with and provide interim Patient Access Leadership support for our Dignity facilities at a Director or Regional Director level. The person in this role may also be a large contributor to the Optum360 operations model initiative as well as other Patient Access operations initiatives and special projects.
 
The position will be responsible for end-to-end business process activities - creating, controlling and improving business processes. Leads process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities. Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools. 
 
This position is also responsible for quality reporting, analysis and audits and for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools. 
 
  Primary Responsibilities
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
  • Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
  • Performs complex conceptual analyses
  • Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement
  • Forecasts and plans resource requirements
  • Authorizes deviations from standards
  • May lead functional or segment teams or projects
  • Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues
  • Motivates and inspires other team members
 Required Qualifications
• 1+ years as a Director or Manager of Patient Access/Patient Registration experience (either working directly for a hospital or via a consulting group)
 
• 5+ years of experience in developing business and/or system requirements and business/process improvements in a patient access/healthcare setting
 
• Proficient with PC based software programs and automated database management systems required
 
• (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and experience with documenting processes and policies in a patient access/healthcare setting
 
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field
