Spring Mountain Treatment Center is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Accounts Representative.

The Patient Accounts Representative -identifies, records and summarizes financial data related to business transactions, events and decisions: reports and interprets data necessary for sound judgments and decisions by managers.  Works with department supervisors to ensure correct insurance reimbursements and compile daily department reports.  Maintains daily census sheets and distributes the census record in a timely manner.


Key Responsibilities include:

Collect and process information to facilitate monthly closings.

Assists in preparation of various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

Anticipates data requirements for month-end.  Completes tasks with little or no direction from Controller.

Anticipates date requirements for periodic reports.

Ensures that patient bills are submitted timely.

Post patient charges accurately and daily.

Records deposit’s timely and correctly to patient accounts.

Reviews patient ledger for accuracy of account balances.

Assists with assigned accounts.

Prepares patient allowance and write-offs.

Supports facility internal and eternal customer service standards.

Maintains daily census sheets; providing current documentation of potential admits and discharge summaries.

Participates in activities to enhance job knowledge and skills.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

A high school diploma or its equivalent with two or four years experience in the field or in related area.  Thorough knowledge and skills application of basic accounting principle. Must be able to meet deadlines and the needs of accuracy in work produced.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures, within the areas of Billing, Collecting and Follow up.  Must have skills for the following: 10-key calculator, Personal Computer, Photocopier, telephone & facsimile.
