To learn more about our programs and services, please visit our website at We currently have a Full Time Patient Account Representative at Del Amo Hospital, a 166-bed behavioral health facility that is located in Torrance, California.

Benefits begin on the 31st day of employment.

The Patient Accounts Representative exists to verify all patient account insurance information on the day of admission or the next working day.  Contacts patient’s and/or third party payer organization(s) to secure insurance benefits and information.  Secures all self-pay deposits and payment while patients are in the facility.

  1. Knowledgeable of all payers and billing/payment practices.
  2. Knowledgeable of collections procedures and schedules.
  3. Receives all over-the-counter and mailed payments.
  4. Prepares bank deposits.
  5. Reviews explanation of benefits and applies contractual adjustment accordingly.
  6. Prepares daily cash reports.
  7. Consistently reviews all information received daily from the Intake Department with regards to insurance, demographics and payment arrangement information.
  8. Consistently reviews any delinquent insurance information and reports to the Business Office Manager any self-pay accounts in the house as a result of no insurance.
  9. Consistently contacts all third party payers and other appropriate persons, such as patients themselves, to obtain additional information or clarification regarding patient insurance information.
  10. Consistently follows department policies and guidelines in obtaining, reviewing and settling delinquent information.
Job Requirements

:Education:        High School Graduate or Equivalent required.

Experience:       Previous training in verification required.
