Position Summary

The Patient Alumni Coordinator is responsible for building positive relationships with four stakeholder groups: patients, graduate, families and local communities.

This position will work closely with the corporate office as well as the other Patient Coordinators at local FRN treatment centers, ensuring that all L+C member branding efforts are implemented in a professional and consistent manner, bringing in admissions through patients, graduates, families and local community referrals. This position will assist in communicating FRN’s message to key stakeholders as well as potential markets assisting in the planning and conducting of successful L+C programs, marketing events and family outreach. This position reports directly to the Patient Account Manager. 

 

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrates professional behavior and interpersonal skills reflective of FRN mission statement and philosophy.
Knowledge of the addiction recovery community, mental health treatment and the 12-Step traditions would be beneficial but not required.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload.
Motivated self-starter capable of working independently without close supervision.
Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
Dedicated advocate willing to speak out on behalf of the program’s goals and needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Must have strong presentation/speaking skills with experience addressing both small and large audiences.
Excellent marketing skills with understanding of metrics and mechanics.
Ability to adapt to changes in staff and work setting.
Knowledgeable of Patient Rights and HIPPA; treats all patients or alumni with dignity and respect in a consistent, courteous manner.
Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with alumni, families, and all other contacts.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access and Publisher.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or Communications desired. 
1-2 years experience in communications and marketing required, preferably in behavioral health or other healthcare setting.
Event planning and hospitality experience a plus
Familiarity with CRM databases, computer-based medical records, and Microsoft Office.
Additional experience with marketing communications including writing, editing and design a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to be physically mobile; however, long periods of sitting will be required.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Occasional lifting and bending required.
Constant use of computer requiring manual dexterity.
Ability to read, write and analyze detailed and complex information.
A current, valid driver’s license is required for occasional business travel.
Minimum 10% overnight travel required.
