Employing excellent customer service skills, the Patient Registration Representative is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience throughout the pre - registration process. The Patient Registration Representative adheres to the organization's policies and procedures for resolution of patient financial liability. Additionally, the Patient Registration Representative is an information source for patients and families by explaining hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities and Patient Rights and Responsibilities.

Positions in this function are responsible for data entry, checking in, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s).

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Enter in patient information accurately within the database
  • Enter in doctor's orders (Any request in regards to a service for a member)
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week within the operating hours of the site, M - F
  • 6+ months of Medical Insurance experience - Explanation of benefits, coverage, payments, etc.
  • 6+ months of Healthcare industry experience - Hospital, doctor's office, insurance providers, etc.
Assets:
  • Call Center experience
  • Bilingual - English / Spanish
