Valley Hospital is seeking a PRN Patient Relations Coordinators to join our team!

Valley Hospital is built on three core principles, outstanding care, compassionate people and unparalleled service. We are a private 122 bed psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health care and chemical dependency counseling services. Valley Hospital is centrally located with easy access to many areas of greater Phoenix. We are between North 35th and 36th Streets with East Earl to our north and East Thomas to our south.

The Patient Relations Coordinator (PRC) is responsible for assisting and guiding patients through the admission process.  The PRC-II will greet and assist all patients during the intake process to ensure a smooth transition into the inpatient setting. Greet patients upon arrival and act as concierge, guiding patients through the admission process. The PRC meets with the patients in the intake department and on the floor to process admission paperwork including but not limited to consent, patient notification forms, release of information, basic insurance forms and orientation to the unit and program.

Job Requirements

::Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Experience working in a health care environment or any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment. Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting, and knowledge of admissions and business office processes preferred.  Must have great customer service skills.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification is required prior to employment.  Management of aggressive behavior (SAMA) training is required prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.  May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
