Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Service Manager 1 to assist in supporting the successful operation of Sodexo food service programs for Holston Valley Medical Center. 

 

As our Patient Service Manager, you will manage a best in class dining experience for the patients at this hospital. Your success will be measured by your ability to:

  • Work with food production and other managers to oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth flow of food services to patients
  • Effectively manage a high volume patient tray line operation
  • Exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Check audits
  • Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall Patient Services program
  • Provide some oversight to the retail cafe operations

In this role, the successful candidate will experience our services in a variety of hospital settings, develop relationships with peers and will ultimately provide a solid base upon which to build a long-term career at Sodexo. The ideal candidate would have experience in a healthcare setting with previous exposure to Sodexo's programs such as EFY & AYR a plus.  Attention to detail is very important along with good communication skills.

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
