 We have an exceptional career opportunity for a Patient Service Manager 1 in Kingsport, TN at Holston Valley Medical Center.  350 Bed Facility.

As our Patient Service Manager 1, you will manage a best in class dining experience for the patients at this hospital. Your success will be measured by your ability to:

  • Work with food production and other managers to oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth flow of food services to patients
  • Effectively manage a high volume patient tray line operation
  • Exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Check audits
  • Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall Patient Services program
  • Provide some oversight to the retail cafe operations

The ideal candidate has recent experience managing a food service program, understands the importance of patient satisfaction, is able to evaluate and recommend improvements and quality assurance programs targeted to help improve customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include: participation in and directing the patient meal operation; daily meal rounding and interaction with the patients, their families and the nursing staff; ensuring proper meal assembly procedures & staff training and provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients.

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
