Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, IL.  As the Patient Services Manager, you will oversee the day to day operations for the At Your Request Room Service patient tray line. Presence Covenant Medical Center, part of the Presence Health System, is a 210 bed acute care facility with both an inpatient behavioral health and an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Your success will be measured by your ability to effectively manage an AYR Room Service patient tray line.  The ideal candidate understands the importance of patient satisfaction, is able to evaluate and recommend improvements and quality assurance programs targeted to help improve patient satisfaction. 
 
Responsibilities include:  participation in and directing the patient meal operation, daily meal rounding and interaction with the patients, their families, and nursing staff; ensuring proper meal assembly, procedures and training. The selected candidate will supervise 15 front-line employees, work collaboratively with other members of the management team and will work a flexible schedule including some weekends. 
 

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
